Embracing Change: How Recent Shifts Are Transforming My Life

Hello, my deers,
I have made so many changes in the last few months and you would not believe how big a difference it has created. It's like Cinderella changing. Not because of the clothes, but because suddenly she doesn't want to be the evil stepsisters punching bag.
There have been so many changes I wanted to share. For a long time, I didn’t feel like they were enough — not big enough, not certain enough, not "finished" enough.
But today, I realize:
They are working.
I am making strides.
Things are truly changing in ways I never thought possible.
And the only one not giving myself credit for those victories… is me.
Today, I want to share some of the small but powerful changes I've made. They don't always work perfectly. They don't erase every hard thing. But together, they have made a real difference in how I move through my days — especially through the medical challenges I’m facing right now.
Each one of these choices has built something stronger inside me. Each one deserves to be honored. And maybe — if you’re walking your own hard road — they might help you too.

Choosing a Motto for Strength
The other day, I chose a motto. Not just words to say.
Not just an affirmation that shifts day by day depending on my mood. Something deeper. Something foundational.
It’s a few words — private, sacred to me — that draw strength into me every time I speak them. And when I say them, I don’t just repeat them in my head. I move. I created a small gesture — that I can do any time, even when no one notices.
Together, the words and the gesture create a change inside me. They still me. They remind me of the emotions I want to live in — strength, calm, hope.

My motto isn’t about pretending everything is okay. It’s about choosing where I plant my feet when the ground shakes.
If you ever want to create your own motto, think about what you want to feel when you say it:
Calm?
Courage?
Lightness?
Steadiness?
Choose something that brings that emotion to you like a flame you can carry in your own hands — private, powerful, your own.
Because some of the strongest armor we wear… is invisible.

Making a Wish for Calm
This morning, when I sat down with my Morning Reflection page, I made a wish for the day.
I wished for calm.
But I didn't just write it down and walk away. I chose to build that wish — piece by piece — with tiny actions.
I journaled a little. I named my wish clearly. And I decided that writing this blog post — slowly, gently, with my dreams and ideas at my side — would be part of how I create that calm, not something that steals it from me.
It's not always about huge plans or massive shifts. Sometimes, it's about taking a breath, picking one gentle thing, and choosing to treat it like sacred ground.
Today, my sacred ground is this:
Rocking in my chair.

Catching the light in my words.
Trusting that even small actions can build the feeling I wish for most.

Changing How I Listen to Music
Another small but powerful shift I made recently was changing the way I listen to music.
Instead of just letting music play all the time in the background, I started listening with intention.
When I feel stressed, I put on soft piano melodies — music that soothes my nervous system and helps me breathe easier.
When I feel sad or sluggish, I choose upbeat songs that lift my energy without forcing it — little sparks of light in the heavier places.
I also realized that what I needed before bed wasn’t noise all night long. It was calm before sleep. So now, I play relaxing music before I fall asleep — letting it help me unwind — and then I turn it off. It’s made a huge difference in how deeply I sleep and how rested I feel in the morning.
Music used to be something that just happened in the background.
Now, it’s something I choose carefully — another tiny way I build the world I want to live inside.

Closing Thoughts
When I look at these small changes —
choosing a motto, making a wish and following it with tiny actions, changing how I listen to music —
they might not seem huge by themselves. But together, they create momentum. They start to build a real shift inside me.
Even things I was already doing, like listening to music, became different when I did them with more care, more intention. And without these little shifts, it’s easy to miss the bigger changes happening over time.
Today, I’m learning to trust that small victories matter. That steady steps forward add up. That tending to myself in little ways leads to real strength.
And maybe — if you’re walking your own road — you can give yourself permission to trust your small steps, too.
Now Go. Be Safe. Know That You Are Not Alone.
